Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is a gorgeous, gentle adventure. You wander a valley by lantern light, solving light puzzles, meeting a handful of odd characters, and slowly uncovering why the place is the way it is. The touch controls are clever, mostly swipes and taps that feel natural.
There's no combat and no failure state, just discovery. That could sound dull, but the pacing and art carry it. I kept finding little hidden nooks that rewarded curiosity with a note or a small scene.
It's short, maybe five hours, but it doesn't overstay. I finished it in two evenings and thought about it for days after. Easily one of my favorites this year.
