Ashfall Wardens
★★★★★ 4.5
Ashfall Wardens is the kind of RPG that respects your time while still going deep. Battles are turn-based with a clean elemental system, and you build a party of four from a growing roster, each with their own tree. Nothing here is padded; even side quests moved the story along.
The writing is the star. Companions actually react to choices, and a few late decisions genuinely made me stop and think. On mobile the menus are well laid out, which sounds boring but matters a lot when you're managing gear on a small screen.
Combat difficulty ramps up nicely, and there's an optional hard mode for people who want to plan every turn. My only gripe is a slow first two hours before the party clicks together. Push through it.
